Doyle’s Obituary Doyle Hugh White, 89, of Van Alstyne, TX, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in McKinney, TX. He was born December 31, 1929 in Quitman, TX to native Texans, Benjamine Arthur and Annie Mae (Patterson) White. Doyle married Bobbie Jean Hopper on August 20, 1971 in Dallas, TX.

He served in the US Navy as a Seaman Apprentice. Doyle was a Sales Support Manager for the Neiman Marcus Company and worked there for 34 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and family was a priority to him.

Doyle is survived by his daughter, Joyce E. Torres and husband Lou of Van Alstyne, TX; two sons, William R. “Robby” White and wife Danielle of Van Alstyne, TX and David L. Bruce of Aubrey, TX; seven grandchildren, Taylor White, Ashley Webb, Brock Bruce, Christopher Bruce, Daniel Bruce, Brook Lee, and Macy White; and eleven great-grandchildren. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamine and Annie; wife, Bobbie Jean Hopper Bruce White; two sons, Wesley L. White and Gary D. Bruce; two brothers, Billy and Donald White; two sisters, Falba E. Good and Joyce M. Hollaway. Visitation will be held 6:00PM-8:00PM, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, March 8, 2019 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX with Bill Lee and David Bruce officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, TX. Online condolences may be shared at www.
