Dr. Glenn’s Obituary Dr. Glenn Marlowe Hultgren Glenn M. Hultgren was born to Mae A. (Englar) Hultgren and Luther E. Hultgren in Westby, Montana, on December 27, 1932. He attended schools in Montana and graduated high school in New Salem, North Dakota. He attended the University of Jamestown (North Dakota) for his pre-med studies and then went to Davenport, Iowa, for four years to graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1955 While in Davenport, Glenn met and married MaryLou Johnston on February 26, 1955.

They are parents of Bonnie (James Jeffers), Robert (Marsha), Barry (Cynthia) and Beth Jordan (Randy Bruxvoort). He is survived by his lovely wife, MaryLou, his four children, ten grandchildren and four great-grand children. He is also survived by two brothers, Kert in Monterrey, California, and Dale in Minneapolis.

His parents and his sister, Karen Emerson pre-deceased him. Dr. Hultgren practiced chiropractic in Bismarck, North Dakota, for two-and- a-half years after graduating from Palmer and then moved to Fort Collins in 1958. He maintained a chiropractic practice here until May 1, 2016 when he retired.

In 1953, while still a chiropractic student, Glenn formed the Christian Chiropractors Association, which has sent hundreds of doctors to under-developed countries around the world, assisting Christian missionaries and providing heathcare to thousands. Dr. Hultgren made 18 trips himself into six continents on behalf of the Association. The organization still has its international headquarters in Fort Collins.

Dr. Hultgren was actively involved in leadership in his profession. Besides serving as executive secretary of the Christian Chiropractors Association for many years, he also served as president of the Society of Colorado Chiropractors, the Colorado Chiropractic Association, the Congress of Chiropractic State Association for three years and was a member of the Colorado Board of Chiropractic Examiners for six years. He was a founding member of the World Chiropractic Federation.

He lectured in chiropractic colleges, churches, associations and other groups across the country and around the world. Dr. Hultgren was an able Bible teacher and taught Bible study groups in many churches in the area. He has served as a member of the Gideons for over 30 years.
