Dr. Kathleen R. Farris, 70 formerly of Oglesby died at 5:25 p.m. January 8, 2019 in Symphony of Orchard Valley, Aurora. Services were private. Pastor Kevin Hancock officiated.

Burial was in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, LaSalle. Shields Funeral Chapel, Oglesby was in charge of arrangements. She worked as a physician in the Illinois Valley in partnership with Dr. A.J. Sellett. She subsequently continued her education by completing a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Kathy then continued to practice in Norfolk achieving a lifelong dream and passion of becoming an Obstetrician/Gynecologist.

Her whole life was focused on providing excellent, loving care to her patients. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Oglesby and sang in the choir. She is survived by her mother Dorothy Senica of Springfield, a daughter Krisse (Dan) Blood of Aurora, 2 sons; Joe (Olivia) Farris of Mt.

Clemens, MI and Jim Farris of Virginia, 2 brothers; John (Pam) Senica and Randy (Dianne) Senica both of Oglesby, a sister Dr. Kari Senica of Springfield, 2 grandchildren Megan and Becky Blood and her sister-in-law Linda Senica of Peru. She was preceded in death by her father. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to World Vision, 34834 Weyerhaeuser Way S. Federal Way, WA 98063-9716.
