Obituary for Dr. Marlene F. Schwartz Dr. Marlene F. Schwartz Born December 12, 1951, died April 16, 2018 age 66. Loving wife of Steven Weiss. Devoted mother of Alex (Samantha) Weiss and Sammy (Matt) Klemm, Dearest daughter of Dorothy Schwartz and the late William Schwartz.

Dear sister of Howard (Sandra) Schwartz and Larry Schwartz. Marlene was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but lived in Madison, Wisconsin for most of her childhood and college years. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Nursing where she earned a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing.

Marlene went on to earn her Doctor of Psychology degree from Marquette University. Marlene maintained a successful career in Psychotherapy for over 40 years. One of the greatest satisfactions of her life was caring for the hundreds of patients and their families.

She considered this a privilege. Although soft-spoken, her words had a profound impact on anyone lucky enough to have known her. A substantial part of her career was devoted to pro-bono services to many patients who lacked the means to obtain affordable mental health care.

To this end and through the auspices of her company, PCT, a memorial fund is being established in her name to provide support for those that cannot afford mental health care in the Milwaukee Community. Please join us in honoring her memory by attending a memorial celebration of her life sometime this coming May.
