Obituary for Duane E. Summerer Funeral Services for Duane E. Summerer, age 88, of Chambers, NE, were held Thursday, April 5, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chambers, NE. Rev. Edgar Keinath and Rev.

Mel Mertens officiated. A Prayer Service was officiated by Rev. Daniel Keinath and Rev.

Joshua Keinath the evening before. Pallbearers were his 14 grandsons, including Joel, Daniel, Michael and Joshua Keinath. Honorary pallbearers were his 7 granddaughters, including Rachel Keinath.

Duane, son of P.W. and Anna (Primius) Summerer, was born May 4, 1929. On March 25, 1951, Duane married Myra Sprecher at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden, Iowa. He was a farmer/rancher, husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.

Duane is survived by his seven daughters and sons-in-law, Julie (Wayne) Larson of Billings, MT, Janeen (Rev. Edgar) Keinath of Seymour, IN, Becky (Harold) Larson of Chambers, NE, Barbara (Doug) Rudolph of Elk River, MN, Eileen (Rev. Mel) Mertens of Delta, CO, Mari Jo (Steve) Knapp of North Platte, NE, and Brenda (Bret) Schmidt of La Salle, CO.

, 21 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren; sister Marjorie Tomjack of Ewing, NE and nieces and nephews.
