Florence – Duane E. Steinke, 89, passed away early Monday morning, November 5, 2018 at The Living Centre in Stevensville due to complications associated with Parkinson’s Disease. Duane was born in North Dakota August 19, 1929. He is survived by his wife Johni, his daughter, Diane (Terry) and his son Douglas (Sue); step-son Mark (Pam), David, Scott (Lisa); step-daughter, Tamera; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, David, step-daughter, Christine, step-sons, Ralph and Wade. Duane served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Duane worked many years for Osco Drug, retired from the Missoula County Sheriff’s Department, he then went on to work with the U.S. Marshall’s Service and as a Baliff for the Missoula County Court System.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stevensville on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Interment with military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Western Montana States Veterans Cemetery in Missoula.
