Duane M. Potter 62, of White Earth, passed away on Monday July 2, 2018, at the Frazee Care Center. A Traditional Wake will begin at 5:00 pm on Thursday, July 5th and the Funeral will start at 10:00 on Friday, July 6, all at the White Earth Community Center in White Earth, MN. The David-Donehower Funeral Home is serving the family.

Duane Mark Potter was born on February 20, 1956 to Charles and Verna (Fairbanks) Potter in Detroit Lakes, MN. He attended school in White Earth before moving to the Detroit Lakes area with his family. Duane moved around in his younger years, living in Washington, Minneapolis, and Mil Lacs, before settling back home in White Earth.

He worked various jobs throughout his life, he hung sheetrock and did indoor and outdoor painting, and worked briefly for the Grand Casino in Mil Lacs. Duane was a fun loving, outgoing person, and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed pencil sketching, playing cards, chess and fishing.

He will be missed by his family and friends. Duane is survived by his daughters Angela Clark of WA, Jennifer of WA, and Laura Garcia of Minneapolis. Sister Theresa Potter; Brother Frank Potter; Sister In-law Pat Potter.

Duane is preceded in death by his parents; Brother’s Vernon Fairbanks and Chuck Fairbanks; Sister’s Margaret King and Thelma Potter.
