Dwayne Allen Bowling, age 77 of Oakland, IL was called home Thursday, December 20, 2018. Dwayne was born February 1, 1941 in Clinton, IN to Lloyd and Alvera (Beard) Bowling. He married Judith Ann Zeigler on August 16, 1972 and they were married for 40 years.

Dwayne was a veteran of the US Air Force and worked as a mechanic until his retirement in 2009. He enjoyed country living, his cat Thumper, birdwatching, NASCAR, and loved talking about cars. He is survived by three children: Paul Herrington of Oakland, IL; Laura Clapp of Oakland, IL; and Lesa (Joseph) Damm of Oakland, IL; two brothers: James E. Bowling of Mattoon, IL; and Donald “Gene” Bowling of Charleston, IL; twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland.
