E. Luan Johnson, 69, of Plymouth, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and four daughters at 10:45 pm Tuesday December 18, 2018 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born Estella Luan VanFleet on December 4, 1949 in Colmar, IL to Claude and Myrtle Norris VanFleet. She married Samuel Johnson on December 9, 1967 in Fandon, IL.

He survives in Plymouth. Luan was a 1967 graduate of Plymouth High School. She was employed at King-Seeley in Macomb, IL and later at Methode Electronics in Golden, IL.

She enjoyed sewing, antiquing, doing Sudoko puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by 4 daughters, Teresa (Jim) Ippensen of Auburn, IL, Cindy (Lonnie) Dobbins of Augusta, IL, Shelly (Dave) Marshall of Keokuk, IA, Keri (Monte) Allison of Macomb, IL, 8 grandchildren, Jessica (Grant) Watson of Auburn, IL, Brittany (Brian) Apostal of Tinley Park, IL, Megan Dobbins (Alex Thompson) of Augusta, IL, Sadie Allison and Macon Allison of Macomb, IL, Kelli (Daniel) Riney of Blue Grass, IA, Merydith Marshall of Keokuk, IA and McKenzie Marshall of Nashville, TN, 2 brothers, Carl VanFleet of Ewing, MO, George (Shirley) VanFleet of Colmar, IL, 2 sisters, Bonnie Maness of Parkio, MO, Pat Cook of Plymouth, IL, 3 Brothers-in-law, Raymond Stolp of Denmark, IA. Danny (Joyce) Johnson of Bushnell, Il, Jimmie (Nellie) Johnson of Bushnell, IL, 3 sisters-in-law, Diane (Rick) Roberts of Argenta, IL, Anna Lou Kerker of Augusta, IL, Connie Hutchins of Macomb, IL and numerous nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law, Mary Johnson, a sister, Joan Waddill, 4 brothers-in-law, Dale Kerker, Mitch Hutchins, Bill Waddill and Gerald Cook. Per Luan’s wishes, her life will be celebrated privately with her immediate family, cremation has been accorded and there will be no services. The Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, IL is handling arrangements.
