Earl C. Ray passed away at his home in Davie, on November 9, 2018 at the age of 75. Earl was born November 18, 1942 in Cadillac, Michigan, to the late Jesse and Blanche Ray. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1961.

Earl was an M.P. in the United States Army, where he guarded the helicopter of two Presidents. In the early 1970’s, Earl moved to Florida where he worked for Morrison’s Cafeteria until 1984 when he opened his own restaurant, Mr Ray’s Cafeteria. Most recently he was an owner of Mr Nicks Sub Shop in Ft.

Lauderdale. Earl loved golf, visiting the casino, and was an avid fan of South Florida sports teams. He leaves behind Barbara Ray, and his children, Craig (Karen), Steve (Carol), and, Debbie Betterly (Rory).

He also leaves behind 10 Grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a brother Jesse Ray of Ohio. A celebration of life will be held at the 11/, 5050 SW 90th Ave, on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 8:00 pm (golf attire).
