Ed “Buddy” Carney September 23, 1934 – January 4, 2019 Mr. Ed “Buddy” Carney, age 84, of Ball Ground, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services are pending at this time and will be announced when they are complete. Mr. Carney served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War Veteran.

He was a gunsmith and enjoyed hunting, camping and hiking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed, Sr. and Lorene Carney; and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Christine Carney; five children, Sherri Hubbard, Randy Carney (Darlene), Ricky Carney (Nacey), Connie Franklin and Raymond Carney; four siblings, Bobby Carney, Gilda Sosebee, Brenda Elrod and Ronnie Carney; four grandchildren, Kristie Strickland, Jennifer Carney, Brandon Carney and Cody Turner; three great grandchildren, Taylor Strickland, Anslee Strickland and Kailey Strickland; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
