Obituary for Edith Barlow Edith Noblitt Barlow, 102, of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Jackson county in 1916, to Benjamin and Emma (Ballman) Noblitt. On June 6, 1937, she married Robert Barlow; he preceded her in death in March 1967.

Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at First Baptist Church Seymour on Saturday, December 8 at 1 pm with The Reverend Dr. Jeremy Meyers officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Family and Friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday from 4-8 pm and Saturday at the church from 12 Noon until time of service.

She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess and Funeral Meal Committee Member; she assisted in the nursery; she also assisted in the kitchen at the church banquets and was a member of the Golden Owls Group. Along with being an active member of her church, she was a true example of the hands and feet of Jesus. She showed everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her what the meaning of being a Christian truly meant.

Our Mother and Grandmother is the measure to which we have gauged our walk in this life. Next to Jesus, she loved her family so well and always prayed for us all. She is survived by her children, Rita (Aden) Jones, Joy Sutherland, and Carol (David) Nicholson; grandchildren, Natalie (Todd) Fulton, Kevin (Karen) Jones, Greg A. (Lisa) Jones, Angela (Jim) Napier, Richard (Lori) Sutherland, and Jackie (Jerry) Blackerby; great-grandchildren, Kelly (Mike) Pumphrey, Andy (Michelle) Anderson, Kayla (Devin) Robertson, Kenzi Jones, Brooke (Rowden) Lemon, Brandy (Melinda) Jones, Brittany (Clayton) Darlage, Aden Jones, Ava Jones, Jeremiah Blackerby, Janae Blackerby, Josiah Blackerby, and Joshua Sutherland; step-great-grandchild, Dylan Patton; great-great-grandchildren, Paisley Anderson Emily Pumphrey, Tucker Pumphrey, Flint Pumphrey, Addison Lemon, Abraham Lemon, Olivia Darlage, Charlotte Darlage, Luther Darlage, and Marin Jones; step-great-great-grandchildren, Kailynn Spivey, and Emily Pumprey; several nieces and nephews; brother, Robert (Shirley) Noblitt; and sister Jane Ferry.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Danny W. Barlow; brothers, Bill (Mary) Noblitt , John (Betty) Noblitt, Wilbur (Virginia) Noblitt, Clifford (Pauline) Noblitt, and infant brother Roy Noblitt; brother-in-law, Pat Ferry; and son-in-law Lynn Sutherland.
