Mardis, Edith “Nippy”, age 83 of Stringtown Rd. Hico, WV passed away December 2nd, 2018 in Eaton, OH surrounded by her family. Nippy was born in Jenky, WV to the late Luther and Isabella (Miller) Smith and called her 38 acre farm in West Virginia home for over 35 years.

Nippy was an independent woman who loved gardening, family and her dogs. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Marion “Bush” in 2013 and her siblings John, Opal, Genevieve, Luther Jr., Jim, and Lawrence. She is survived by her son Bruce (Kathy) Mardis, grandchildren Michael (Whitney) Mardis, Terry (Molly) Gentry, Jerami (Terra) Gentry, Erick (Brandy) Mardis, her sister Gaye (Thelma) Bennett and numerous grandchildren and extended family.
