Obituary for Edmund Marshall “Cheif” Gould Print Gould, Edmund M. Lovingly known as “Chief,” passed away on January 29, 2019. He was born Oct. 28, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN to Abbott and Rita Gould.

Survived by daughter Barbara Gould and son Michael Gould, grandchildren; Seth (Jeannie), Josh (Erin), Cassie (Shane), and great grandchildren; Isla, Kate and Lyra. Further survived by brother Neil, devoted partner Gail Hart, and former wife Reva Gould, nieces; Bonnie, Helen, and Arina, and nephew Abbott. Preceded in death by beloved daughter and son-in-law Tairi Gould and David Gardner, and brother Howard.

Chief was an accomplished tennis player, winning state championships in his youth. He enjoyed sitting in the sun and traveling to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Chief was renowned for his love of jazz, golf and “The Wizard of Oz”.

He will be fondly remembered for his eccentric sense of humor. A private service and burial will take place in Santa Barbara, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Crazy Horse Memorial.
