OBITUARY Edna Jean Breakiron December 14, 1926 – July 12, 2018 Edna Jean Breakiron, 91, of DeBary, FL, and formerly of Morgantown, WV, passed away on July 12, 2018. She was born in Gans, PA on December 14, 1926, to Viola and Edward Jones. Edna graduated from Point Marion High School in 1945 and received her nursing diploma from Heiskell Memorial Hospital in 1948.

She worked at St. Vincent Pallotti and Monongalia General Hospital until her retirement in 1986. Edna practiced anesthesia under the teaching of Dr. Tucker from 1957 to 1975 and finished her career in general surgery. She was loved by her patients and co-workers alike.

Edna was a proud member of Woodland United Methodist Church in Morgantown, WV and Judah Church in Orlando, FL. In addition to making others laugh, she expressed her love by baking, entertaining, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, David R. Breakiron of Morgantown, WV.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Ralph Kern of DeBary, FL; grandchildren, Dawn and Nathan Buker of Deland, FL, and Dara and Jonathan Morgan of Baltimore, MD; along with great-grandchildren, Joshua, Stephan, Elijah, Ezekiel, Anna and Unity Buker, and Alia and Kaia Morgan. The family would like to express their thanks for the wonderful help and care given by the staff at DeBary Health and Rehabilitation Center and Kindred At Home Hospice.
