Funeral services for Edna L. Bronner of Cresco, IA, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Cresco, IA. Father Dennis Cain will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church.

Interment will be in St Theodore Catholic Cemetery, Albert Lea, MN, at 3:30 PM on Friday. Edna died Sunday July 1, 2018 at Mayo Health Systems Albert Lea. She was 81 years of age.

Edna was born December 18, 1936 in Ft. Atkinson, IA, the daughter of Edward and Vera (Kuhn) Blong. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Cresco, IA.

On September 4, 1956 she was united in marriage to Charles M. Bronner at the St. Joseph’s church in Cresco. Edna lived most of her life in Cresco, IA, and the past 7 years in Albert Lea, MN. She was an active member of the Notre Dame Church with the Altar Guild and Church Women.

She had been employed for many years as bakery manager for several bakeries and she had many happy memories from her last job at Hoines Drug in Cresco. In her free time she enjoyed her cat Gracie, snowmobiling, quilting, ceramics, playing Rummikub and Bingo, and collecting cardinals. One of her joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

Edna is survived by her children Alan Bronner of Cresco, IA, Suzanne (Larry) Kach of Albert Lea, MN, Laurie (Wayne) Musselman of Wanamingo, MN, grandchildren Jason (Amy) Kach, Jeff (Deanna) Lepa, Nicholas (Keely) Lepa and Sydney Klimesh. Great grandchildren Spencer and Parker Lepa, sisters Angela Praska of Cresco, IA, Doris Bardan of Aurora, CO, Beatrice (Darwin) Clupper of Urbandale, IA, Colette (David) Lind of Rochester, MN, Marilyn (Al) Mrachek of Lakeside, MT, and brother Cletus (Nancy) Blong of Pleasanton, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gerald Blong, grandsons Scott Kach, Eric Bronner and Benjamin Lepa, nephew Jeff Lind and numerous brothers and sisters in law.
