OBITUARY Edna M Luce January 30, 1920 – July 23, 2018 Edna M. Luce, 98, of Skowhegan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday July 23, 2018 in Skowhegan, Maine. She was born January 30, 1920 in Madison, Maine, the daughter Nelson and Rosamond (Church) Haines. Edna attended Madison area schools.

On October 16, 1938, she married Donald P. Luce Sr. in Dixfield, Maine, he passed away in 2001. She spent many years working for Norrwock Shoe Company in Norridgewock as an inspector. She loved her vegetable and flower gardens, she enjoyed cooking, canning, freezing, and she was well known for her molasses cookies.

She loved to crochet and many of her family members have one of her afghans, do crossword puzzles, and she loved the time she spent with her family. She is survived by her children, Joanne Dore and her husband Arnold of Skowhegan, Carol White-Foster and her husband Doug Foster of Solon, Norma Daviau and her husband Bob of Rangley, Donald Luce Jr and his wife Nancy of Skowhegan; eight grandchildren, Todd Dore and his wife Debbie, Randy Dore and his companion Karen, Michelle Ward and her husband Corey, Lisa Warren and her husband Travis, Susan Dickey and her husband Steve, Jeff Dunlap and his friend Rebecca, Ben Luce and his wife Katie, Dr. Amy Dunn and her husband Matt; Eleven great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Elaine Haines of Oakland; and her good friend Cynthia Walker. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 62 years, Donald Luce Sr., her son Ronald C. Luce, and her siblings, Ethel Mayo and Clifford Haines.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday July 28, 2018 at 1:30 pm at the Southside Cemetery in Skowhegan, Maine. Arrangements are under the care of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave. , Skowhegan, Maine.
