Edolia Roy November 19, 1930 – May 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carencro for Ms. Edolia Roy, age 88, the former Edolia Sinegal, who passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at her residence in Carencro. Interment will be in Our Lady of the Assumption Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev.

Msgr. Ronald Broussard, pastor of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Mrs. Roy was a native of Scott and a resident of Carencro for most of her life.

She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carencro where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Survivors include one son, Joseph Manuel Roy and his wife Pamela of Scott; two daughters, Clara R. Zeno and her husband John of Rayne and Marilyn R. Broussard of Lafayette; sixteen grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, eleven great great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Senegal of Carencro; one sister, Enora S. Fontenot of Houston, TX; and a very special friend, Dorothy Sampy of Carencro. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Wilson Roy, Sr.; two sons, Wilson Roy, Jr., and Wilton Roy; her parents, Leroy Sinegal, Sr. and the former Edna Breaux; five brothers, Jeffery Sinegal, Efrey Sinegal, Carol Sinegal, Leroy Sinegal Jr., and Caffery Sinegal; and two sisters, Enola S. Kennedy and Ezora S. Lewis.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hope Hospice and her caregivers, Audrey Bossier, Jaliasha Joubert and her friend and neighbor, Dorothy Stevens for their care during her illness.
