Edward Charles Cerny, Jr., 86, of Lawton, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at his home. He was born June 22, 1932 in Midlothian, Illinois, to the late Edward Charles, Sr., and Sophia Ann (Kadlec) Cerny. Ed was a member of the Lawton Antique Tractor Club and the Southwest Michigan Snowmobile Club.

He enjoyed outdoor activities, camping, 4-wheeling and trains. On July 3, 1951, in Lawton, he married Patricia J. Cerny who preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Debra (Rick) Brown, son, Charles Cerny, six grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Edward was preceded in death by his son, Edward, daughter, Patricia Ann Mayne along with three sisters. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 3, 2019, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Adams Funeral Home, Inc., Friday January 4, 2019 at 11:00 am with Ron Packer officiating.

Interment will follow at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, 119 Niles Street Paw Paw, MI 49079.
