Edward Eugene Konicki, 67, of Easthampton, passed away on January 2, 2019. Ed was born on November 5, 1951. He graduated from South Hadley High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Western New England College.

Ed was married to Eva (Janocha) Konicki for 45 years. Ed was a “jack of all trades” and was the man in the family that could fix anything. He worked as a Director of Human Res for several companies for over 40 years.

He enjoyed the study of Native American Culture and was very active in Boy Scouting where he received his Eagle Scout with Troop 303 and mentored many scouts as a Scout Master for Troop 114. He was also actively involved in the American Legion Post 224 and served in the United States Navy on the USS Forrestal. Ed is survived by his spouse Eva, two children, Eric Konicki of Orlando, Florida and Tania (Konicki) Martin of Marlborough, MA.

Three grandchildren, Connor Konicki, Harlow Martin and Cosette Martin. Two sisters, Diane Bailey, of Florida, and Karlene Cloutier, of New Hampshire. Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Bertha (Klepacki) Konicki.

The calling hours will be from 4pm to 7pm on Sunday, January 6, 2019 and the funeral service will be held on Monday January 7, 2019 at 10 am at the Mitchell Funeral Home located at 15 Park St. Easthampton, Ma. Burial will follow funeral services at St. Stanislaus Cemetery with Military Honors.
