OBITUARY Edward J. Driskill November 5, 1930 – October 5, 2018 Edward Jolly Driskill, age 87, left his earthly home on Sunday, October 5, 2018 and entered his eternal home. He was born November 5, 1930 in Zephyr, Texas the son of Jess and Edna Jolly Driskill. He will be remembered as a talented horse trainer and trained horses in Ruidoso New Mexico, Phoenix Arizona, Denver Colorado, Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas and was very successful in winning races.

He was the owner of Elm Valley Thoroughbreds in Tuscola and also raised Charolais cattle on his ranch. One of his proudest accomplishments was training horses for Ray Price. His cowboy spirit will be missed on the racing circuit by the many friends he has made.

He had lived in Tuscola for the past 50 years and was married to Sammye Jo Eckert whom shared his love of the ranch. His is survived by his wife, Sammye Jo Driskill of Ballinger, 2 nieces, Deanna Collins of Benbrook and Lisa Paulicek of San Angelo, and a nephew, Jim Tidwell of Lubbock. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
