Age 74. Husband of 50 years to Sarah “Sally” McCann (nee Dawson).

Brother of Peggy (late Walter) Novack, Thomas McCann, Louis (Roberta) McCann, and the late John (Nancy, surviving) McCann, Sr., all of Aura. Brother-in-law of the late James (Carla, surviving of Delaware) Dawson. Uncle to 15 nieces and nephews and 28 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Godfather of 10 godchildren. Son of the late Edward J. and Margaret (nee McGlincy) McCann, Sr. Born in Woodbury and raised in Aura where he was a longtime resident, Edward moved to Kerens, WV for 11 years before returning home to Aura 18 months ago. He was a 1963 graduate of Delsea Regional High School and worked as an owner and farmer on the McCanns Farm until his retirement in 2006.

Even in his retirement, he was back on the farm helping again recently after his return home to Aura. During the winters, Edward also worked for many years at Doughty’s Furniture. He was a member of the NJ Farm Bureau, the WV Farm Bureau, and the Sweetwater Gun Club and a former member of the Aura Volunteer Fire Company.

Edward enjoyed deer hunting, raising bees and vegetables in his garden, and traveling with his wife, especially on the Star Bus Tours. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, December 31, 2018, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312. Funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Interment Manahath Cemetery, Glassboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Glut1 Deficiency Foundation at g1dfoundation.org.
