Edward P. Lytwak Sr. 96 of Jeannette died Friday September 7, 2018 in St. Anne’s Home. He was born April 19, 1922 in Jeannette a son of the late Philip S. and Anna (Kurdyla) Lytwak. Prior to retirement he was CEO of Koppers Research and he was a veteran or WWII serving with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with the rank of Captain.

He was a member of St. John’s Harrold United Church of Christ where he served as Elder Emeritus and taught Bible Study and Sunday School. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence Lytwak.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years Olga (Fedoronko) Lytwak, three sons Greg Lytwak and his wife Kim of Jeannette, John Lytwak and his wife Erin of Pittsburgh and Edward Lytwak Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Washington DC, six grandchildren Bryan (Sarah), Lauren, Lindsey (Mike), Victoria, Kelsey (Bryan) and Colin, one great grandson Braden and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4PM and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the St. John’s Harrold United Church of Christ 103 St. Johns Church Road Greensburg, PA.

Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John’s Harrold United Church of Christ. To send online condolences visit www.
