Eileen M. Kohls OTTAWA — Eileen M. Kohls, 89, of Ottawa died 12:29 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Meadows of Ottawa. She was born March 24, 1929 in New Cleveland to the late Edward and Florence (Recker) Gable. On September 8, 1951 she married John F. “Jack” Kohls, who preceded her in death on June 10, 2007.

She is survived by two daughters, Erin (John) Kinsler of Naples, FL and Patricia (Fred) Bockrath of Glandorf; a foster-son, Bruce (Liz) Deitrick of Lewis Center; five grandchildren, Kimberly (Randy) Kahle of Glandorf, Brian (Ona) Goecke of McComb, Lisa (Clifford) Brady of Glandorf, Nicholas (Nicole) Bockrath of Ottawa, and Rev. Nathan Bockrath, priest of the Diocese of Toledo; a foster granddaughter, Michelle Deitrick; fifteen great-grandchildren, Brent, Tyler, Ryan and Grant Kahle of Glandorf, Jordan, Tommy, Nate, Elliott and Archer Goecke of McComb, Evan, Ella, and Avery Brady of Glandorf, McKenzie Eileen, Blake and Maria Bockrath of Ottawa; a brother, Carl (Christine) Gable of New Cleveland; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Gable of New Cleveland. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Arnold (Alice) Gable, Elmer Gable, and Bob (Ann) Gable; and a brother-in-law, William “Bill” (RaNae) Dobbins.

Eileen graduated from Sts. Peter and Paul High School, Ottawa. She was a member of Sts.

Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa where she belonged to its Rosary Altar Society, Precious Blood Companion, Christ Renews His Parish, Minister of Praise, Eucharistic Minister and Mass server. She was an employee of Beckman Jewelers for many years. She was active in the American Legion Commettes and Ottawa Golden Steppers, enjoyed traveling and painting, but especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Nathan Bockrath officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a Prayer Service at 7:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
