Obituary of Eileen White Eileen J. White of Waukesha died January 13, 2019 at age 87, after suffering a stroke. She was born to Fritz and Hazel (nee Harms) Gobrecht on October 24, 1931, in Platteville, WI. She married John A. White on September 26, 1953 and they moved to Waukesha in January of 1957.

Her family filled her life – watching baseball games and plays and band concerts, baking treats for every holiday, and traveling the United States. She golfed (got a hole-in-one! ), bowled, played cards, watched her “story”, crocheted, cross stitched and mastered jigsaw puzzles.

The Milwaukee Brewers lost a loyal fan when she passed away. She was an active member of St. Mark’s quilters. She loved her children, David (Jayne), Dennis (Karen), Nancy Schunk, Barbara (Keith) Thompson, and Donna (Michael) Jushka, and she really loved her grandchildren, Adam (Whitney) White, Marla (Nick) Bower, Elizabeth White, Benjamin (Sean) Thompson, Alexander Thompson, and Emma, William and Mason Jushka, and great-grandchildren, Vaya White and Chase Bower.

She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Petersen. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother John Gobrecht, and son-in-law Thomas Schunk. She was a member of St. Mark’s Ev.

Lutheran Church for over 60 years and her services will be held there, at 424 Hyde Park Ave, Waukesha. Visitation will take place on Monday January 21, 2019 from 10AM until the start of the Funeral Service at 11AM. A lunch at the church will follow graveside services at Prairie Home Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Mark’s Quilters would be greatly appreciated.
