Lusson, age 80 of Marceline, died Thursday, March 28, 2019 at her home. Elaine was born in Fort Peck, Montana on January 2, 1939 to Christen Myrl and Verena Gwenn (Houghton) Hansen. She married Virgil Frank Lusson on March 15, 1973 and he preceded her in death.

Elaine had worked in Human Res for the United States Post Office and moved to Marceline in 2000. She is survived by two sons, Owen J. Engen and Janet of Nixa, MO; Wayne Lars Engen and Prudence of Ball, Louisiana; two daughters, Debbie Johnson and Jack of Concordia, MO; Kelly Sheffield of Marceline, MO; brother Hank Hansen of Scottsdale, Arizona; sister-in-law Nancy Hansen state of South Carolina; brother-in-law Al Lusson of Waterloo, Iowa; ten grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Austin, and Katlyn Engen, Jackline and Whitney Sheffield, Amy Johnson, Jim Varble, Tanner Johnson and Kolten Johnson, and four great grandchildren, Matt Johnson, Elouise Engen, Leland Engen, Thea Engen and on the way Theodore Engen. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers Al and Chris Hansen.

Private family burial will be at a later date in Ozark, Missouri. Memorials can be made to Marceline Carnegie Library and mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N. Missouri Ave. , Marceline, MO 64658.
