Elaine King was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 21, 1945 to the late Charles and Estella Harrell and was the fourth child of five daughters. Elaine graduated Parker High and later married. Elaine went to security school in the early 1980s and started working as Loss Prevention at Carson Pirie Scott and Home Depot and she really enjoyed it.

Elaine was a no nonsense lady and when it came down to what and how she wanted things, she wasn’t playing. Elaine was such a loving mother and grandma and taught her kids about life. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Estella Harrell; her oldest sisters, Alberta Walton, Charlen Brooks and her son, Anthony C. Jones.

She passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019.
