Eleanora “Nori” Jungers, age 82, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Sanford Sheldon Care Center in Sheldon. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 13, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sheldon. Father Siby Punnoose officiating.

Burial will be Monday at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Alton, Iowa. Visitation will be Sunday, May 12, from 3:30 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. with the family present, Scriptural Wake Service at 5:00 P.M. and Parish Rosary at 5:30 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon Funeral Service in Sheldon. Eleanora “Nori” Isabella Jungers was born on July 17, 1936 in Hospers, Iowa, the daughter of John and Bernadette (Holles) Klein.

She lived her youth in rural Hospers on the family farm and attended St. Anthony Catholic School in Hospers. She was united in marriage to George Jungers, Jr. of Alton, Iowa on November 18, 1958 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hospers. They lived in Alton, Iowa.

George passed away on June 12, 1959. Nori made her home in Hospers where she worked at St. Anthony Catholic School in the lunch program for many years. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hospers.

After moving to Sheldon, Iowa, she attended St. Patrick Catholic Church. While living in Sheldon, Nori was employed at the Fin and Feather in the kitchen for many years. Nori enjoyed her puppy, Cricket, playing Bingo, doing puzzles and spending time with her daughter, Sharon, the grandkids and great-grandkids.

She moved to Sanford Sheldon Senior Care Center where she lived for nine years before passing away on Monday, May 6, 2019. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Harvey Koerselman of Sheldon, IA; three grandchildren, Rochelle and her husband, Josh Netten and their children, Coral and Cara; Rachel and her husband, Jeremy Newport and their children, Cole and Bree; Jonathan Koerselman and his daughter, Bailey; five sisters, Bernice (Paul) Schwebach, Marge (Larry) Huygens, Geraldine (Wayne) Hardin, Charlotte Watts, Theresa (Larry) Gathman. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Jungers, Jr.; her parents; one brother, Harold Klein; two sisters, Josephine Dittman and Marie Luke.
