Eleanore’s Obituary Eleanore Martha Conroy passed away on January 19, 2019 in Tomales, CA, surrounded by her loving family. She had fought a long valiant battle with cancer. Descendant of the pioneer Cerini family of Tomales, and the last remaining member to reside in Tomales.

Eleanore was born on March 18, 1948 in Petaluma to Roy and Maxine Cerini. Raised in Petaluma, she was part of a large, active, extended family. She graduated from Petaluma High and worked for Shoreline Unified School District for 35 Years.

Eleanore lived for her family and had a vivacious love of life. She married Wayne Conroy in 1967, and together they enjoyed nearly 43 years of marriage. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to all of her grandchildren’s activities rarely missing anything.

She loved attending the fairs watching her children and grandchildren show their sheep and spent most of her wedding anniversaries at the Sonoma County Fair! She was an amazing mother, a fantastic sister, wonderful aunt and loving friend, who will be missed by all she came in contact with. Eleanore was a member of the Church of the Assumption of Mary, Petaluma Moose Lodge, Tomales History Center, Sonoma-Marin Italian Club and an active supporter of the Druids.

In addition, Eleanore served many years on the Tomales Town Hall board. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Conroy and her parents. Cherished mother of Eric Conroy, Michelle Sawyer (Micah), Tom Pendleton (Erin), Chris Burton (Stacy), and Andy Sarina (Anna).

Adored grandmother of Carrie Cummings (Bryce); Gianna and Marissa Pendleton; Micah Jr. and Kody Sawyer; Dylan and Syerra Weiler; Tyler, Joseph and Jennifer Burton; and Mattie Sarina; and great-grandmother of Logan Cummings, who were all her pride and joy. Loving sister of Lillian Ayers (Wade), sister-in-law to Alice Conroy, Landa Varner, PJ Conroy and Lawana Conroy. Special Aunt to Monique Callinan (Gary) and Dominic Ayers.

Adored Great Aunt to her two special littles Callie and Kiley Callinan. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Age: 70 years The family would especially like to thank the oncology team and all the wonderful staff at Kaiser Santa Rosa for their outstanding care of Eleanore and to Candy Furlong & Jackie Good for all your wild adventures.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy, Friday, January 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at the Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Assumption of Mary, P.O. Box 82, Tomales, CA 94971 or the Tomales Town Hall, P.O. Box 251, Tomales, CA 94971 or your favorite charity.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Petaluma.
