She was born in Bostwick, Georgia and lived at Indian Oaks Manor (ACLF) having moved to Seminole in 2000 from Winter Haven, Florida. She graduated from Georgia State College for Women (GSCW) teaching various school grades in Decatur, Georgia, Tallahassee and Miami, Florida for over 20 years.

She belonged to Connect 2 Christ Church She was preceded in Death by a son, LTSG John Jackson Parker off USS Coral Sea in the South China Sea in 1970 She is survived by a son James O. Parker III, Redington Shores, FL. Six grandchildren Dr Laurel Lacher, PhD; Tucson, AZ; Charles J. Parker, Seminole. FL; John T. Parker, Monmouth Beach, NJ; Jeffrey J. Parker, North Redington Beach, FL; Karen Stuhmer, Ft, Worth, TX; and Robert H.
