Elizabeth’s Obituary Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Mae Navarro was born on September 28, 1929 in Athelstane, Wisconsin to Carl and Hanna Kuhn Negley. She later moved with her family to Crivitz, Wisconsin and attended Martin Luther High School in New Ulm, Minnesota. Following graduation, she moved to Appleton, Wisconsin where she worked for the aid association for Lutherans.

In 1951, she moved to Pensacola, Florida where she met and fell in love with Pedro “Pete” Navarro. The two were wed on December 7, 1952. Mrs. Navarro is preceded in death by her loving husband Pedro, sister Mary Ann Negley and parents.

She is survived by her four children Nancy Jacobi (Lee), Jon Navarro (Renee), Dirk Navarro (Beth), Scott Navarro (Laurie) a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and two sisters Jean Pope and Esther Turner. Betty devoted her life to serving the Lord through the Lutheran church. She began playing the organ while in high school for Grace Lutheran church in Crivitz, Wisconsin.

Prior to transferring her membership to Grace Lutheran in Pensacola, she served many years at Immanuel Lutheran in Pensacola, FL where she played the organ, as well as the piano, taught Sunday school and was a faithful choir member. In 1969, she and her husband, Pete, founded Plastic Arts Sign Company which remains a thriving, family operated business today. Her faith in God, love and devotion to her family have guided every aspect of her life.

Betty leaves behind an incredible legacy of faith, family and love. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Covenant Hospice in her honor. Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
