Obituary of Ella Nason Brownville Jct. and Orneville – Ella Francis Nason, 93, passed away peacefully February 24, 2019, at the home of her daughter. Ella was born in McAdam, New Brunswick, Canada February 18, 1926, to John H. and Maggie May (Jordan) Lewis.

She graduated from McAdam High School in 1943. She worked at the local post office and the McAdam Railroad Station. She was a member of the Inah Rebekah Lodge.

Ella married her husband, Ray A. Nason, in 1949 and moved to Brownville Jct. where her husband was employed by the CP Railroad. She worked at Kromner Farms and Dexter Shoe Company.

Ella was an active member of St. John Episcopal Church for 68 years. She enjoyed cooking, card parties, Tripoli, and trips she took with family and friends. Surviving are her three children, sons, Wayne Nason and his wife, Roxanne, and Kevin Nason; and daughter, Marilyn Wiles and her husband, Fred.

She leaves two grandchildren, Brian Wiles and his wife, Kerri, and Alison Nason; three great-grandchildren who brought her such joy, Lucy, Eve and Elliot Wiles; two sisters-in-law, Myrna Butler and her husband, Ronnie, and Pauline Lewis; and a brother-in-law, Philip Nason and his wife, Beverly. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray; five brothers, Arthur, John, Fred, Dick, and Karl; two sisters, Grace Mason and Margaret Watson; and a half-sister, Hattie Alexander. Ella’s family would like to thank the girls from Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care of Ella.

Services for Ella will be held in the spring at St. John Episcopal Church in Brownville Jct. Those who wish to remember Ella in a special way may make gifts in her memory to St. John Episcopal Church, PO Box 715, Brownville, ME 04414 or to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Milo.
