Ellen Leone, 94 of Annadale passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Born July 23, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York, Ellen was the devoted daughter of the late Arnuff Schanne and Agnes Schanne. Beloved wife to the late John R. Leone, who passed away in 2003.

Ellen was a loving mother to John Leone Jr (Elizabeth), Joseph (Pauline), Carolyn D’Amato (Late Anthony), Mary Ellen Sinacore, Angela Aubry (Joseph) and late Fredrik J. Leone. Dear sister of Agnes Bruefach, the late Arnulf Schanne and her twin sister the late Elsie Schanne. Cherished grandmother to Vincent, Anthony, Nicole, Tricia, Jennifer, Christine, Christopher, Alexis, Caitriona, Joseph, Sean and Lauren.

Great Grandmother to Vincent Jr, Justin, Anthony Jr., Paul, Dory, Daniella, Giulianna, and Mattison. Ellen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, she was an avid Bingo and card player. Ellen enjoyed trips to the Casino, knitting and crocheting as well as baking and cooking.

Her family remembers the many ways she could cook a potato and they hold those memories with fondness. She was also an endeared member of the Great Kills Friendship Club The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. If you so desire, Donation’s in Memory of Ellen may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation 10400 Little Patuxent Parkway Suite 480 Columbia, MD 21044 410. 730.
