Obituary for Elodie A Gaylord Elodie Ann (Tracy) Gaylord, 84, of Cheshire, MA, passed peacefully on January 5, 2019 into the arms of our Savior, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 30, 1934, to Elmer and Mildred Tracy. She lived in Cheshire her entire life and attended schools in Cheshire and Adams.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, Paul Gaylord. Together they owned and operated the Country Charm Restaurant in Cheshire for 35 years. She was hostess and manager at the restaurant, where she found great pleasure in welcoming and serving customers.

She was a constant caregiver for family and friends. She was a devout Christian and shared her values closely with her family, having gone on several mission trips. Mrs. Gaylord is survived by her children, Paula Boynton and husband Rick, Robin Poirot and husband Donald, Brenda Ferguson and husband James, Trent Gaylord and wife Carrie; and her sister Patricia Kern of Pittsfield.

Elodie also leaves her precious dog Buddy. She was predeceased by her sisters, Vivian Kuta, Georgianna Kelson and Dorothy Tracy all of Cheshire; brothers, Paul Tracy, Stuart Tracy, and Stanley Tracy all of Cheshire and Preston Tracy of Berkshire Village. She was very proud of her eleven grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren and spent time making sure they all knew how much she loved them.

The entire family spent many of their vacations at their Cape Cod vacation home for many precious summers. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mrs. Gaylord will be held, THURSDAY, January 10, 2019 at 11am at First Baptist Church of Cheshire, celebrated by Rev. Bryan and Lamberton and Rev.

Christopher Adorno. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:30am to 11am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Massachusetts Special Olympics, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of Dery Funeral Home, PO Box 445, Cheshire, MA 01225.
