Obituary for Elsie Mae Jepsen Elsie Jepsen was born on January 3, 1925 in Little Rock Arkansas to Hattie and Bertie Carper. She died on May 13, 2018 at the age of 93. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing.

She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great and Great-Great Grandmother. Her family and her Faith meant everything to her. In 1972, Elsie married Bob, the love of her life.

This added 3 more children to her 6 for a total of 9 children in a blended family. Elsie worked at Kadlec Hospital in the Dietary Department for 1973 to 1989. She then retired, and she and Bob traveled with the “Rambling Rovers”.

They traveled all over the world and met many good friends on these adventures. Her hobby was Tole Painting. She was a very gifted artist and sold many of her paintings throughout the years.

She belonged to the Rebekah Lodge #319. She was a Noble Grand in the Rebekah’s. Elsie is survived by her son Darrell Abbey (Vivian), daughters Janice Hinton, Phonda Guzman (Tony), and Linda Cone (Dennis), Stepchildren, Marsha Lee (Brian), Carolyn Henry and Don Jepsen (Jennifer).

She had 24 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren. We sincerely want to thank Hospice for their care and loving support while Elsie was sick. Any donations may be made to the Chaplaincy Hospice Care.

She is preceded in death by Husband, Robert Jepsen, Sons, Merritt Abbey and Larry Abbey. Viewing will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 5-8 pm with Funeral Services Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1 pm both at Mueller’s Chapel of the Falls Funeral Home at 314 West 1st Avenue in Kennewick, Washington. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick, Washington.
