OBITUARY Elsie Phillips Yarbrough February 10, 1939 – September 3, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Elsie Phillips Yarbrough , a native of Calhoun and resident of White Castle, passed away on September 3, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 79. She was a retired LPN with over 45 years of service. She enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids participate at their sporting events, gardening and traveling.

She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for others. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Jerry F. Yarbrough; one daughter, Sylvia Ourso (Donnie); four sons, Jerry W. Yarbrough (Arlene), Danny Yarbrough (Regina), Kenneth Yarbrough (Kim), and Brad Yarbrough (Eva); one sister, Gloria Jane Phillips; thirteen grandchildren, Addie Loupe (Jason), Jesse Yarbrough, Donnie Ourso (Amber), Deric Ourso (Ellie), Erin Simon (Ian), Trent Yarbrough (Brickley), Kip Yarbrough (Sara), Kade Yarbrough (Mikalynn), Keri Yarbrough, Bailey Yarbrough, Brant Yarbrough, Brynn Yarbrough and Brady Yarbrough; nine great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Luther Phillips; two sisters, Hazel Cox and Murrell Phillips; and one brother, Arthur Phillips.

The pallbearers will be Jesse Yarbrough, Deric Ourso, Trent Yarbrough, Donnie Ourso, Kip Yarbrough, Kade Yarbrough and Brant Yarbrough. The family would like to give a special thanks to the many caregivers, neighbors, close friends, Comfort Care Hospice and Gwen Morris for their support and care during this time. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at First Baptist Church at 9:00 am with funeral services to begin at 11:00 am in White Castle.
