ELTON’s Obituary Elton O’Neil, Jr., was born in Houston, Texas on January 4, 1964. He was known by and called “Tony” all of his life. His parents, Elton O’Neil, Sr., and Norma Fay O’Neil preceded him in death.

Tony received his education in the Houston Independent and North Forest Independent School Districts. After school, he worked at various jobs. As a young man, he worked for a while with his father as a longshoreman at Local ILA #24 and later on he worked for the old Memorial Hospital System and Goodwill Industries.

He attended and was baptized at an early age at Fontaine First Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joseph Brown. As a young child and until his health began to fail, Tony loved to visit the small East Texas town of Lovelady which was the birthplace of his late parents. He so very much enjoyed getting away from the hustle and bustle of the big city and enjoying the freedom that small town Lovelady afforded him.

Tony was found deceased in his apartment on March 12, 2019. Left to remember Tony is his brother, Sheldon O’Neil, Sr. (Gwen), Shannon O’Neil; sisters, Millicent Robinson, Antoinette O’Neil and Danielle O’Neil; aunts, Joyce Young, Adline Turner, Alberteen Horace; uncles, Curtis McKnight, Robert O’Neil; two very special relatives; nephew, Sheldon O’Neil, Jr., and cousin, Kevin Wooten who assisted Tony with his daily activities, numerous other nieces, nephews, great−nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
