Elvira O. Barrera, 80, of Kingsville, TX passed away May 23, 2019, in Kingsville, TX. She was born on December 18, 1938, in Kingsville, TX to Cruz and Eva Olivarez. She was a retired housewife and a member of St. Martin Catholic Church.

She was also a former foster parent to over 100 foster children. She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Raul Barrera of Kingsville; three daughters, Norma (Bill) Donnell of Kingsville, Nora (Charlie) Nunez of Kingsville, and Noelia (Mike) Buck of Gidding; two sons, Charlie Barrera of Kingsville, and Gilbert (Denise) Barrera of Kingsville; one brother, Cruz Olivarez Jr.; one sister, Eva Recio; sixteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sun. , 05-26-2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held on Sun.

, 05-26-2019at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Mon. , 05-27-2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church.
