A Funeral Mass for Elvira V. “Vera” Marini will be celebrated in the Church of St. Patrick – Watertown on Thursday January 17, 2019 at 9 am. Miss Marini, was a daughter of the late John and Julia (Corsi) Marini. Vera passed away in the Meadow Green Nursing Center Thursday morning after a long period of declining health.

She was 90 years of age. Vera was born and grew up in Watertown, graduating from Watertown High School, class of 1947. Vera worked for the BF Goodrich Company, Watertown, Waltham Racket Club and retiring from the Chateau restaurant, Waltham as a hostess for 28 years.

She volunteered at the St. Patrick’s Bingo and was a member of Cornezia dei Gracchi Ladies Lodge OSIA, Watertown. Vera will be remembered for her loving spirit, a giant heart and infectious laugh. She truly believed “that humans could learn a lot from animals” and “to have a friend, you need to be a friend”.

Dear sister of John S. Marini of Canton and the late Gilda A. Brackett-Steppe, Joseph A. Marini and Dehlia Fratto. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass for Elvira V. “Vera” Marini will be celebrated in the Church of St. Patrick – Watertown on Thursday January 17, 2019 at 9 am.
