Obituary for Elwin D. Smith Celebration of life for Elwin Deloise Smith, 73, of Hallsville will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at McWhorter Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at this time. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Elwin was born December 3, 1945 in Gilmer, Texas to William Henry Smith Sr. and Agnus Grace Holland Smith. Elwin passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at home surrounded by family. Elwin married Lillian Judy Weiler on March 12, 1965 and she preceded him in death in 2012.

He worked for Sun Oil for 15 years in the oil and gas industry. He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Smith; his brother, Red Smith; and by his parents. Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter, Kristen Casey; son, Brad Smith; sister, Eva Landsdale.
