OBITUARY Emma Kate Glasgow November 11, 1934 – September 20, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Emma Kate Rogers Glasgow was born on November 11, 1934 in Magazine, AR and went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Vernon Glasgow, her parents Joseph Wesley and Willie Marie Rogers, and her brother Bill Rogers. She is survived by her son, Tee Glasgow (his wife Nikki) and their children Spencer and Aidan, who live in Frisco, TX.

Kate is also survived by two sisters Judith Davis (and husband Doug) of Paris, AR, Troyce Robinson (and husband Monroe) of Ratcliff, AR; two brothers Tom Rogers (and wife Gwen) of Benton, AR and Harold Rogers (and wife Marsha) of Pine Bluff, AR; sister in-law Shelba Rogers of Magazine, AR; several nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Kate moved to Dallas after graduating from high school in 1953 to begin her career as a bookkeeper. She worked at The Rinehart Oil News Company and later, Aetna Insurance.

She relocated for a short while to Kansas City, but did not like the winter weather, so she didn’t stay long before returning to Dallas. Kate met her husband Vernon when he was on patrol as a Dallas Police officer and they were married on June 7, 1964. They enjoyed travel, dancing, and attending police functions.

After their son was born in 1971, they moved to Arkansas to be near to Kate’s family, where they remained until their first grandchild was born in 2001. In 2002, Kate and Vernon moved to Frisco, TX and enjoyed being near their son and his family. The attention to detail that made Kate a successful accountant also made her a meticulous seamstress.

Multiple myeloma marked the last few years of her life. A Visitation Service will be held at Stonebriar Funeral Home in Frisco on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 12:00pm.

Her Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm. Kate wanted to be interred with Vernon, with a service that will be held at Dallas Forth Worth National Cemetery on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 11:00am.
