Obituary for Ernest Roger Caston Jr. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. John 3:16 Ernest R. Caston, Jr., 83, a native of Liberty, MS and resident of Slaughter, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Jan, of 21 years and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest R. Caston, Sr. and Hattie Neyland Caston, four sisters, Fairy Hazel, Odie, Opal and Amelie. And a brother, J.A. “Dusty” Caston.

Visitation will be at Slaughter First Baptist Church on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 from 9am until service at 11am conducted by Rev. Basil Wicker.

Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Liberty, MS At an early age he learned to play the guitar, and with his wife, Jan, they were called of the Lord to serve Him in a gospel music/Intercessory prayer ministry. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial donations be made to Slaughter First Baptist Church, PO Box 359, Slaughter, LA 70777.
