Obituary for Ernesto A. Gomez Ernesto “Neto” Alfredo Gomez, 27, of Texas died June 10, 2018 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born on October 5, 1990 in Sterling, Illinois, the oldest son of Sylvia and José Raúl Pedroza. Ernesto was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Emigdio and Alejandría Gomez, of McAllen Texas and Grandfather Leopoldo Rodriguez of Rock Falls, Illinois.

“Neto” is survived by his parents, 2 sons Ernesto Emigdio Gomez and Silas Gomez, 3 sisters Elvia Gomez, Flor Magdalena Pedroza, Anahi Pedroza, and brother Raul Pedroza all of Somerset, Texas. Ernesto “Neto” moved to San Antonio Texas in 2003. In 2014 he moved to Somerset where his love of horses began.

He enjoyed his peaceful horseback rides and quiet times fishing. He was a man of short stays, never stayed in one place for too long, would give the shirt off his back for anyone and was always there to lend a helping hand. His most enjoyable thing to do was to spend time with his 2 sons and loved “chillin” with his siblings, nephews, and family always letting them know “I got your back”.

Funeral Arrangements will be handled by Camero Funeral Home 20567 Hwy 16 South Von Ormy, Texas 78073 Visitation: Friday, June 15, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Pastoral service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service: Saturday June 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery in Von Ormy.
