Obituary for Sofia P. Hernandez Sofia P. Hernandez, born September 29, 1950 to Cleofas Paredes and Dominga Rodriguez Paredes in Schertz, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the age of 67 years surrounded by her family. Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her son and daughter in law, Guillermo P. and Donna Ramirez; daughters and sons in law, Veronica R. and Michael Merten, and Valerie H. and Luis Garcia; brothers, Roman R. Paredes, Raul Paredez, R.C. Calderon, and Richard Calderon; sister, Tomasa Marmolejo; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; also numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends. Mrs. Hernandez was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was a strong, tough, and hardworking woman retiring from USAA after 27 years of services. She loved her Church and Church Family from Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family and loved going shopping.

She had a beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at the Camero Funeral Home.

A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday Evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
