Obituary for Flora R. Morales Flora R. Morales born, November 24, 1930, to Carlos Riojas and Angelita Huizar Perez, in Gonzales, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at the age of 87 years in San Antonio, Texas. Ms. Morales was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Garza. She is survived by her sister, Annie Gamboa; three children, Charlie (Kathy) Garza, Steven Herrera, and Laurie (Rick) Haderlie; eight grandchildren, David (Martha) Garza, Angela Garza, Tiffney Garza, Bryan Garza, Katy Herrera, Nicole Ballinger, Alissa (Cody) Myer, and Isabelle Haderlie; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Flora worked for Handy Andy Grocery Store for over 40 years before her retirement. After retirement, and because she had to stay busy, Flora went back to work as a home health care provider in her 60s. Finally, she worked for Somerset Independent School District in the cafeteria.

Known for her feisty, energetic personality, Flora was always a very hard worker who took great pride in everything she did…especially her yard work and gardening. She was everyone’s Grandma and loved to brag about her own grandkids. She was an avid softball player and bowler in her youth.

Flora will be missed for her huge personality and loving lessons. A Memorial Celebration will be held for Flora on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Camero Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to l:00 p.m. Cremation interment to follow immediately afterward at First Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Camero Funeral Home.
