OBITUARY Essie E. Burkey April 6, 1935 – November 27, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Essie E. (nee Laumann) Burkey, 83, of Plymouth Meeting, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Essie was the wife of Elwood Burkey & daughter of the late Elizabeth A. (nee Getty) and Wilhelm Laumann. She was born on April 6, 1935 in Norristown, PA.

Essie loved to play bingo, do crossword puzzles, and play the slot machines at the casino. Essie was predeceased by 3 children: Sherry Burkey, Elwood Jr., and Chris Burkey and 2 sisters: Betty (the late Alfred) Burkey & Mary Humphries. Surviving is 1 daughter: Deborah (John) Robinson; 1 grandson; Christopher (Meg) Burkey, and 1 great-grandson: Charles Burkey.

Essie is also survived by 2 siblings: Bill (Debbie) Laumann and Beryl (the late Dennis) Roden. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 10:00am-11:00am at George Washington Memorial Park Chapel: 80 Stenton Ave. Plymouth Meeting, PA.

A Memorial Service will begin at 11AM. Burial to follow at George Washington Memorial Park. Arrangements are with Alleva Funeral Home, Inc. of Paoli, PA.
