Mrs. Esta “Merle” Coneley, 92 of Iola, passed away Friday, October 26th at CHI St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan. Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, October 30th at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota with Brother Mitchell Beene officiating. Arrangments are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Esta Merle was born February 21, 1926 in Iola, Texas to Chester and Lizzie (Fitzgibbons) Dudley. She married Richard Coneley on September 15, 1978. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family.

A member of Martins Prairie Baptist Church in Keith, Texas, she enjoyed reading and was gifted with making all types of crafts. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard Coneley; sons and daugher-in-law, Bobby and Nell Rose Halley of Iola, Nickey L. Halley, also of Iola; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Linda Dudley of Iola and Jerry and Jane Dudley of Houston; sister-in-law Mary Sue Dudley of Guy, Texas; grandchildren Bobby G. Halley and wife, Darla and Christiina Roijas; great-grandchildren Rebecca (Halley) Kimich and husband, Walter, Logan Halley, Paige Riojas and Dylan Riojas.
