Estervan Tuesno was born on February 15, 1966, to the late Oscar Tuesno, Sr. and Jonnie V. Tuesno in New Orleans, Louisiana. He transitioned to eternity with his Lord on January 4, 2019, in Rowlett, Texas, at age 52. He attended Holy Ghost School and graduated from Walter L. Cohen High School.

Later in life, he completed Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School of Arts and Delgado Community College. He had a natural gift for food preparation and was a distinguished chef for almost 30 years. Most notably, Estervan was a participant on the popular food show, Hell’s Kitchen.

He worked at Aimes Academy where he was a culinary instructor. At the time of his transition, he was employed at Sunrise Senior Living as a chef. Among many hobbies, Estervan enjoyed Chess, writing poetry, singing, drawing, reading God’s word, and cooking.

He most enjoyed cooking for his family and ministering the Gospel to all who would listen. On October 1, 1998, he married the love of his life, Chandra Johnson. Together, they proudly parented seven beautiful children.

Estervan attended Greater St. Stephens Baptist Church. After he and Chandra united, they attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

After moving to Texas, they attended All-Nations Fellowship Church in Garland. He was predeceased by his parents, Oscar Tuesno, Sr. and Jonnie V. Tuesno, and daughter, Imon Tuesno. Those left to cherish precious memories include his loving wife, Chandra; children: Ariane Young, Xavier Tuesno-Henry, Bijan Celestin, Estervan Tuesno II, Cian Tuesno, and Malachi Tuesno; granddaughter, Kori Clark; siblings: Laura Crawford Adoo, Oscar Reed (Lula), Robert Tuesno (Delois), Trina Ellis and her husband, and Marilyn “Denise” Wilson (Samuel); sister-in-love, Javier Vessel Davis (Henry); and a host of cousins and dear friends.
