Esther Lillian Margaret Aho, 98, of Esko died October 21, 2018, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. She was born December 30, 1919, in Esko, to Niilo and Ida Polo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Aho; brothers Walter, Carl, Arthur and Johnny Polo; sisters Sophie Parenteau, Jennie Allen and Elma Kesty; and infant daughter, Peggy.

She is survived by son, Roxie Aho; grandchildren Brien Aho and Erin Aho Meier; and great-grandchildren Shi Meier McCarthy, Elizabeth Meier, Sophia Aho and Bailey Aho; and sister Arlene Polo Fogle. Esther graduated from Esko High School in 1937. She worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for the Cloquet Co-op Creamery, Bergquist Imports and Arthur Miles, Certified Public Accountant.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Souder-Handevidt Funeral & Cremation Service, Cloquet, Minnesota.
