Esther M. Paice of Oak Brook, Illinois, passed away on Monday October 15, 2018 at the age of 81 after a long bout with cancer. Loving wife of Raymond P. Paice (Paicewicz), Esther was born on April 26, 1937 to Raymond Hotchkin and Agnes (nee Verakis) Hotchkin in Chicago, Illinois. The eldest of four children, Esther was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Rae Joan.

Esther adored her grandchildren Ben Jendras, Chelsea Paice (John Ferrick), Justin Paice (Ashley Adler), Emily Paice and Daniel Paice and took special delight in her great grandchild Zelda Ferrick. Esther also leaves many dear nieces, nephews and friends.

Esther and Ray met at the factory where they both worked, she in the office, he in the shop, and were married for almost 63 years. Esther was always active and along with managing the house and kids, she was an active part of building a successful small business with Ray. A world traveler, she had the pleasure of visiting every continent, save Antarctica.

She was philanthropic and generous with her time throughout her life and most recently with the Oak Brook Historical Society and the Oak Brook Women’s Club. Visitation Wednesday, October 17th, 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home; 60 S. Grant Street, Hinsdale, IL 60521. Interment, private.
